Boyce Skatepark (goofy rules and locked gate)

We went up on Saturday to find a locked gate. I thought about walking up, but I figured the police would catch us, and then overreact and arrest us. I drive an hour and ten minutes to find a locked gate. What are the parks and recreation thinking with all the ridicules rules.

I mean they started off by letting the park sit for a solid month before letting anyone skate. Then when they do open it they do it on a rainy weekday when kids are in school and adults are at work. What the hell is ankle protection? I think the park should send down a representative to demonstrate the proper way to wear ankle protection.

Why doesn't the park have lights? It should be open until at least 10:00pm. Is the park there for the publics enjoyment or is it just a showpiece?

I bet there are more people at the skatepark, since it has opened, on any given day then in the rest of Boyce Park. We just want to enjoy the park.

Needles to say, I drove over to Imperial. There were about 15 kids there skating. There was some ice, and guess what, everybody just avoided it.

I understand Boyce thinks they are trying to avoid lawsuits, but has anybody ever heard of someone suing a local skatepark? I haven't.

I love the park itself, just not the hoops you have to jump through to skate.

Oh well, I'm done complaining.
